HeartSine Technologies, a world leader in personal and public access defibrillators, has appointed Hugh Hennessy as Commercial Director. Based in the company’s Northern Ireland facility, Hennessy will strengthen the sales and support organization for the European, African and Asian markets.
Hennessy is a veteran sales executive with a vast experience in consumer electronics and telecommunications sales and marketing, working with and for several multinational companies.
“With our rapid growth in Europe and Asia, we welcome Hugh’s vast international experience to our sales team,” says Volker Brand, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Not only does he have extensive experience working with major European and Asian companies, Hugh has a proven track record of sales growth in many of the industries in which HeartSine markets our AEDs.”
Prior to joining HeartSine, Hennessy was Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing for Firecomms where he led the sales effort across medical, industrial, automotive and consumer electronic markets that resulted in the first acquisition of an Ireland-based company by a Chinese corporation. Hennessy, who is fluent in German, also held several engineering and senior management positions with TDK Corporation and Deutsche Tele across Europe, Israel, the US and Asia. His most recent position with TDK was leading a global sales team in delivering over $300M in sales.
